96 St. Marks is the first multi-family passive house in the United States located in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. The house has four units for sale, with one of the units already sold.

While the exterior of the building appears to be the same as other brownstones on the block, Haus 96 plans to use 60%-70% less energy than other multi-family homes. Through passive house materials and construction standards, residents will reap the benefits of lower monthly energy bills and fewer maintenance costs – as well as establishing a more eco-friendly footprint. Moreover, residents will enjoy better air quality and noise levels that come with a passive home.
